Process
Dan describes how he works:
"When we receive cases from doctors, this includes a prescription, photos and quadrant or full impression. I pour a single die followed by pouring up a quad or full arch model. I trim single dies, seal and apply die spacer. Never do I pin models, as I need tissue around the prep for proper contour of the crown. By doing this extra step, it eliminates having to adjust contacts when seated in the patient’s mouth.
"If the doctor has ordered a porcelain to gold crown, only precious metals are used. I use Ivoclar’s eMax ingots for the all-porcelain crowns, inlays and onlays. The restorations are layered or pressed full, contoured and glazed. Because I have used Ivoclar as my supplier for over 25 years, I feel confident that the doctor and patient will have strong, long lasting restorations. "I use a microscope while waxing up a crown and while sculpting a crown to achieve a perfect marginal fit. "I also manufacture implants with parts I purchase from various companies. Straumann, Dentsply and NobelBiocare are my main suppliers. I always use quality materials, burs and polishing wheels while creating my crowns. By using this process you can obtain a superior product." |
